Description

Total Player Program with coaches Craig Conway & Leon Shade

This all skills, complete training program encompasses every inch of the game of baseball. Our coaches with decades of professional playing and collegiate coaching experience, cannot be matched. The Total Player Program was developed for players who seek a complete instruction in all aspects of the game. From defense to hitting, pitching and catching… we also include what many programs overlook, bunting and base-running. Unlike other facilities, Baseball’s Finest strives to maintain the player to coach ratio small, keeping our instruction more hands-on and engaging. The lessons taught throughout this program go beyond the baseball field. We aim to teach our athlete how to maintain focus and discipline, deal with adversity while holding good work ethic, staying positive and above all, having fun!

Program will include but are not limited to:

Hitting: Our aim is to focus on proper mechanics, increasing bat speed, proper bat path through the strike zone, and faster exit velocity. We teach ALL of our hitters correct fundamentals on how to bunt. The importance of bunting has been disregarded by many, but not by us.

Pitching: A simple goal we set for our pitchers is to eliminate injury through stretching, developing good mechanics and extensive endurance training. Learning how to “pitch” instead of just throwing the baseball over the plate is important. Our athletes will learn how to be dominant at the mental aspect of pitching.

Catching: Our catchers learn how to receive the baseball properly and increase strike calls, block the baseball, “quick feet” drills and new age training to enhance “pop-time.” (pop-time is the measured time from catchers throw to second base after receiving the baseball.

Fielding: Whether playing infield or outfield, our drills are designed to obtain excellent fundamentals. Through defense we learn that physical errors will happen but mental errors cannot.

Base-running: Base-running is overlooked and under taught. Speed and good base-running can disrupt the flow of the game, and we are here to show you how.
